Phone 818-785-6934 or fax 818-785-0330. www.ILCSC.org  For twenty-five years, a private non-profit, consumer-based agency serving persons with single or multiple disabilities including persons with Acquired Traumatic Brain Injury (ATBI) and persons with HIV/AIDS and their families in greater Los Angeles County. ILCSC serves clients by re-education and training, independence enhancement, advocacy, and support groups. Additionally, ILCSC serves the private and corporate business, civil and worship communities with staff training regarding cultural diversity, sensitivity, and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance.

Box 75-606, Los Angeles CA 90005, Telephone (213) 388-8352, FAX: (213) 388-3802, E-mail: UDLA@aol.com - www.udlaonline.org - UDLA is a non-profit organization, celebrating their 25th anniversary,  founded by and for physically challenged and developmentally disabled individuals and their families.  As such, UDLA offers various programs and services of which many are provided free of charge.  They take donations in the form of wheelchairs, TDD telephones, computers, tax-deductible monetary donation, etc.

UDLA's main objective is to raise a consciousness in the community concerning the need for accessibility and the importance of lessening barriers for those who are physically challenged and/or developmentally disabled, in an effort to increase their self esteem, help them to realize their potential and become productive members of society.

What type of services does UDLA offer?  Historically, UDLA has been instrumental in providing quality services to approximately 12,000 individuals yearly.  These services include:

  1. Providing support in guiding members towards physical rehabilitation and integration into meaningful educational programs including instructions in the areas of health, hygiene, and personal development.
  2. Providing emotional support to assist disabled individuals in accepting their disabilities by guiding them to successfully integrate into society, realize their potential, increase their self esteem and reach greater independence.
  3. UDLA also participates in international congresses for the disabled to strengthen and facilitate the rehabilitation of disabled people in the world.

Current EventsUDLA is sponsoring a Free (bilingual) Seminar for Parents with children who are disabled and their families, also for people with all types of disabilities.
